The new Assassin’s Creed III DLC, “The Battle Hardened” launched today for those who own a Xbox 360. For the rest, the PS3 receives the expansion on January 9th, for the PC on January 15th, and the Wii U will eventually get this DLC when the rest release. The Battle Hardened extends the mutiplayer experience by introducing three news maps and three new playable characters. The new maps are Charlestown, Fort St Mathieu, and Saint Pierre. The playable characters are the Governor, the Coyote Man, and the Highlander.
The Battle Hardened is a part of the Season Pass, which includes five DLC for the players who hold the pass and own the original game. The Season Pass provides 25% savings overall, when compared to purchasing all the DLC separately. The Season Pass goes for 2400 Microsoft Points on Live and $30 USD (£23.99) on the PSN. It can also be bought at GAME retailers in the UK. For PC gamers, the Assassin’s Creed III Deluxe Edition will come with all the DLC.
Future DLC will include “The Tyranny of King Washington,” the new campaign for alternate history where Washington becomes the king of the US after the American Revolution. It will come through three content packs.
